A Seasonal Creative Residency in Comporta
October 15 – March 15
As the days grow quieter and the land softens into autumn, Comporta becomes a place of retreat. Morning mist rises over the dunes, woodsmoke drifts from village chimneys, and the rhythm of life slows to something elemental.
It is in this pause that we welcome a small group of creatives-in-residence — artists, artisans, and thinkers - to share in a different kind of season.
From October 15th to March 15th, we offer a complimentary stay in one of our rooms, with full board and creative materials provided. We invite those working across disciplines — from watercolour and ceramics, to photography, floral design, natural dyeing, or slow cooking — to find inspiration in the simplicity of place.
In return, we ask only for one workshop, held gently and informally in our Workshop pavillion, for a small group of guests. A quiet morning shaping clay, a sunset session exploring natural pigments, or the scent of slow-cooked seasonal dishes shared in good company.
The format is open, the atmosphere unhurried. We provide what you need — space, materials, ingredients, support - so that you may focus on what you do best: creating, and sharing.
This is not a program. It is a season of inspiration, shaped by nature, nurtured by time, and warmed by the quiet presence of others.
To apply, simply share your practice and a short proposal.
We welcome the unexpected.
Space is limited.
